Dr. Michael Kaiser from the Spine Center was another of our department faculty to speak at the recent Scientific Meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS).
Dr. Kaiser moderated a course titled, If I Could Do That Case Over Again: Discussion of Complications of Spine Surgery. Here, a number of experienced neurosurgeons of various spine specialties discussed lessons learned and gave pearls of wisdom to their younger colleagues.
Dr. Kaiser was one of three Panelists at a course on Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy. In this course, speakers discussed treatment options and guidelines as well as the multiple causes of the condition. They also presented cases, followed by a Q&A.
In addition, Dr. Kaiser has been given an appointment to the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine editorial board for JNS: Spine, a publication “devoted to the publication of original works relating primarily to neurosurgery , including studies in clinical neurophysiology, organic neurology, ophthalmology, radiology, pathology, and molecular biology.”
