Dr. Michael Kaiser moderated a course on Spine Surgery at the Scientific Meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), held last month in San Francisco.

The course was a breakfast seminar titled, If I Could Do That Case Over Again: Discussion of Complications of Spine Surgery, and it included a panel of experienced neurosurgeons of various spine specialties.

The goal of the course was for participants to learn new techniques to avoid complications in cases of minimally invasive spine surgery, fusions, and deformity corrections.

Dr. Kaiser has advanced subspecialty training in complex spinal surgery. He is Associate Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery and Associate Director of the Spine Center at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital. His areas of expertise include cervical spondylotic myelopathy, cervical and lumbar degenerative disease, minimally invasive spine surgery, and spinal tumors.
